So how does a person cultivate the energy of the first chakra and have more "ah hah moment" from this energy vibration?
Food is the primary tool associated with the creation of first chakra energy, which is the energy most connected with mother earth. Just as the physical body automatically breaks down food and delivers the energy and nutrients to where it needs to be, so too, is there a subtle process for Qi development that comes from food.
Chinese Medicine has mapped out the Qi development process and identified how food and air will combine to develop different kinds of Qi. The different Qi's are then delivered to different areas of the energetic body. This whole process of Qi development from food and air is also an automatic process.
To do this, we need to follow 3 steps
- be mindful and pay attention to what we are doing with food.
- visualize and give intention to where we want the Qi to go or what we want the Qi to do
- wrap a feeling around the Qi energy (usually the feeling of love).
Also, different food types will create different energy vibrations. All real food will impact and affect the first chakra energy in this process, but some real foods area closely aligned with other chakras, and as such, can cultivate the energy vibrations in those chakras, too.
Here are the food groups most closely associated with the different chakras of energy:
So, if you want to have more "ah hah" moments of wonder that are associated with the energy vibration of the first chakra, then when you eat (or grow or prepare food) engage your senses, pay attention to the food and notice the color, shape, texture, smell, taste of the food. Then direct your thoughts to what you want the subtle energy of this food to do (e.g. nourish and refine the energy of my chakras). Then, wrap those thoughts with a feeling of love. That's it! You have now engaged your body, mind, and spirit into the process of using food as subtle energy (Qi) cultivation tool. The food will now enhance and refine the energy vibration of your chakras.
